Why did you decide to have your wedding at Terrara House?

We came across the Terrara House on social media. Once we arranged a visit to tour the venue and met the team there was no looking back! We knew it was our place. Every corner of the grounds is stunning. We loved the fact we didn’t need to leave the venue on the wedding day. From getting ready in the salon, the ceremony, the reception, photos, and accommodation, everything was onsite. It made the day run smoothly and stress-free.

How many people attended your wedding?

43 Adults / 8 kids under 5

What made you choose to celebrate intimately?

We always knew we wanted a smaller wedding. Our vision was to be able to have conversations and spend quality time with our guests and create meaningful memories. Already having 2 young kids also meant we wanted a celebration that would cater to them.

People often say that your wedding day passes you by in a blur. We can honestly say we enjoyed and remember every moment.

What was most important to you as a couple when organising your intimate wedding celebration?

The venue team was an essential key for us when organising our wedding and having a venue event contact to bring our vision to life. The Terrara House team offered in-house catering and a celebrant who we highly recommend. Having these sorted early in the planning was brilliant. We wanted the perfect setting to make the day feel special with smaller numbers. Kristy and the team did exactly that for us. The team listened, guided, and worked with us to create and personalise our day.

What were the benefits of hosting a smaller wedding celebration?

·      Having a flexible and more relaxed day

·      Getting to spend quality time with each of our guests

·      We got to do things our way

What was the menu for the celebration?

What was your favourite part of the day?

The onsite salon where Jacinta and the bridal party got ready. This place was stunning. The perfect place to start the wedding day as a bride. It brought everyone together and created calm vibes. Chesters where our reception took place was a great intimate setting. We had guests at 2 long tables with no seating order, this meant we were all able to mingle with each other. The space was filled with gorgeous chandelier lights that brought the room (and dance floor) alive. The space opened outdoors to a wood fired pizza oven where dinner was cooked In front of guests which also created a great atmosphere.

What is your advice for couples planning a wedding in the future?

Don’t overthink it.
