Karley & Jordan
Wedding Date: 8th of March 2025
Ceremony Location: Front lawn with the beautiful Terrara House as the backdrop
Reception Location: Cocktail hour in the chess garden followed by dinner in the marquee
How did you and your partner meet? We met on a night out in the infamous Shortys Bar in Canberra (Jordan’s favourite watering hole). A mutual friend introduced us however besides hello we didn’t actually talk at all that night. After a few months, a friend request from Jordan and a few back and forth photo likes, Karley slid into Jordan’s DMs.
How did you or partner propose? On our Europe trip in 2023, Jordan planned to propose in Florence Italy (one of Karley’s favourite cities). Jordan spent months emailing a lady from Italy to organise the perfect surprise proposal. After a day spent on a wine tour we went to dinner where we were taken to a private balcony covered in rose petals and a table overlooking the sunset. Jordan dropped to one knee and asked the question. It was perfect!!
What was your favourite part of your ceremony? Seeing each other for the first time once the door of Terrara House opened.
Instead of walking down the aisle through our family and friends, I walked from the house across the grass straight to Jordan and our family and friends were behind him. This was so special because the first person I saw once the doors opened was Jordan and he had a direct view of me with no one in the way.
What did you love about your reception? What was not to love!! We loved everything! Our favourite part was probably the speeches and then the dancefloor, the vibes were incredible!
We were very lucky to have Ayesha from White Top throughout our wedding planning journey and all of the Terrara House staff on the day who made everything a dream. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
What is your advice for any future couples planning their wedding? We know everyone says it but literally don’t stress about the small stuff. It’s hard not to in the lead up but on the day everything works out and any minor hiccups are just part of the day, and make for great stories.
