How did you and your partner meet?

We met at church back home in Singapore. Both of us were planning to move to Australia for university studies in different states, but when COVID disrupted those plans, we found ourselves in the same situation and became good friends through that shared experience.

How did you or partner propose?

After graduating from university, we travelled to New Zealand with Ruel’s family, renting an RV and exploring the country together. On the third day of the trip, while hiking up Mount Cook, Ruel asked me to stop for a photo with the stunning mountain backdrop. As we posed for the picture, he surprised me by getting down on one knee and proposing!

What was your favourite part of your ceremony?

N: Walking down the aisle and seeing Ruel at the front surrounded by all our loved ones

R: Nicole looked stunning and the love garden just looked like a scene out of a movie.

What did you love about your reception?

We both honestly loved everything about it! We were allowed to make Chester’s our own with our own decorations and having our guests enjoy the food, drinks and dance floor added so much to the atmosphere!

What is your advice for any future couples planning their wedding?

Don’t sweat the small things, you probably won’t notice it at all.
